Action International Ministries ACTION is an evangelical, nondenominational missionary-sending agency that works in major urban centers of Asia, Latin America and Africa. ACTION missionaries reveal the Gospel and love of Christ to neglected and abused children and their families through practical ministries that specialize in reaching the urban poor. ACTION's three-prong strategy for urban ministry can be defined under three headings: evangelism, discipleship, and development. The mission currently has over 160 missionaries (and many other team members) in 13 countries. Skagit Literacy Skagit Literacy, a program of Skagit County Community Action Agency, offers free tutoring for adults in one-to-one, small group, and classroom settings. We are not a school. We work with learners to develop their individual goals, education plan and curriculum, and we adapt instruction to the student's preferred learning style. More information
